The way an individual perceives the world is known as his or her world view, furthermore, worldview influences many different aspects of life, such as discipleship, relationships, critical thinking, and decision-making. Beginning in childhood the world view is being altered continuously. â€Å"A person s worldview consists of the values, ideas or the fundamental belief system that determines his attitudes, beliefs and ultimately, actions (Munsil, Tracy).† Christ and the Bible are two things at the core of the Christian world view. â€Å"Worldviews are those larger pictures that inform and in turn form our perceptions of reality. They are visions of life as well as ways of life, are individual and personal in nature, yet bind adherents together communally(Valk, John).† The Biblical world view is founded on the Bible beginning in Genesis. There are numerous theories of how the world began, but the fundamentals come down to that the world came into existence because of God. There are Christian’s who believe that various scientific theories complement the Bible. God existed before the anything did and God spoke the world into existence, â€Å"In the beginning, God created everything: the heavens above and the earth below. Here’s what happened: At first the earth lacked shape and was totally empty, and a dark fog draped over the deep while God’s spirit-wind hovered over the surface of the empty waters. Then there was the voice of God.† Genesis 1:1-2.
